An established and highly reputable professional services organisation based in West Yorkshire is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Senior to join its growing payroll team. Supporting a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, the business offers a collaborative working environment, flexible working arrangements and genuine opportunities for career progression.
Your new role
As Payroll Senior, you will be responsible for managing multiple client payrolls from start to finish, ensuring accurate and compliant processing while delivering an excellent service to clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing weekly, monthly and annual payrolls for a portfolio of clients
- Managing auto-enrolment pension administration
- Processing payroll benefits and supporting year-end activities
- Preparing and submitting P11Ds
- Submitting Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC
- Handling payroll queries and resolving payroll-related issues
- Processing BACS payments
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and client information
- Working closely with clients to ensure payroll deadlines are met
- Supporting ongoing compliance with payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
- Providing general administrative support to the payroll function

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous payroll experience within a bureau, accountancy practice or multi-client payroll environment
- Experience managing multiple payrolls simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processes
- Experience with payroll software packages
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive and customer-focused approach
- The ability to work independently whilst contributing to a team environment
- A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
