About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic UK payroll team. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with solid UK payroll knowledge to contribute to a reputable organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting payroll activities across multiple EMEA countries. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop their expertise in international payroll operations within a supportive and progressive environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in UK payroll, with proven experience in processing payroll, managing statutory deductions, and handling HMRC submissions. A solid understanding of payroll legislation and compliance standards is essential. Experience working with EMEA payrolls is advantageous but not mandatory, as training and support will be provided. Candidates should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A relevant payroll qualification or certification, such as IPP or CIPP, is preferred. Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications is also required.
Responsibilities
- Processing UK payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring all statutory deductions, pension contributions, and HMRC submissions are correctly handled and timely.
- Supporting the coordination and administration of payrolls across multiple EMEA countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Performing payroll reconciliations to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Producing detailed payroll reports and analysis for internal stakeholders and management to support business decision-making.
- Managing employee benefits administration, including benefits renewals, employee enrollment, claims processing, and responding to related queries.
- Driving compliance initiatives within the payroll department to adhere to all relevant legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external tax advisors on payroll taxation matters, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to tax laws.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and industry best practices to recommend improvements and ensure ongoing compliance.
