Payroll Specialist

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for executing payroll operations from data collection to final reporting for Ireland. In addition, you will provide support to international payroll activities, e.g., supporting the Payroll for the UK. You’ll work closely with the payroll vendor, HR teams, and Finance to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing. This is a great opportunity to grow your expertise in international payroll while contributing to process improvements and transitions. This is a fixed term role for 1 year, 20 hours per week.

Day to day:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Ireland and provide support to payroll across countries, e.g., UK.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally.
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Assist in payroll system upgrades, implementations, and process improvements.
  • Provide timely and effective support to employees on payroll-related queries.

Essentials:

  • Well experienced in Ireland payroll and local legislation
  • Experience with UK payroll and/or international payroll operations is a preference.
  • Known to payroll tools of suppliers like ADP.
  • Experience working in a complex, international organization.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and data protection best practices.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new tools.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a strong plus.
  • Location UK based.
