French-Speaking Payroll Specialist – Europe | London | Office-Based
We’re delighted to be partnering with a leading international organisation to recruit a Payroll Specialist – Europe to join their London-based Finance and HR teams.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of the monthly payroll process across multiple European countries, working closely with Finance, HR, managers and external payroll providers.
The role would suit someone who is hands-on, highly organised and commercially aware, with excellent attention to detail and the confidence to manage payroll data, systems and deadlines across different jurisdictions.
About the Role
As part of the Finance function, you’ll play a key role in ensuring European payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and on time.

Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating monthly payroll across multiple European countries
- Collecting, preparing and validating payroll inputs
- Managing salary changes, bonuses, allowances, commissions, benefits and expenses
- Uploading payroll data through digital payroll platforms
- Reviewing payroll calculations, reports, summaries and payslips
- Investigating discrepancies and coordinating corrections with payroll providers
- Managing monthly payroll cut-offs and approval deadlines
- Completing payroll reconciliations and supporting Finance with payroll-related reporting
- Supporting month-end payroll activities, including journals and accruals where required
- Producing payroll reports and management information
- Liaising with external payroll providers and internal stakeholders across Europe
- Acting as a key point of contact for payroll queries
- Supporting payroll audits, year-end processes and statutory requirements
- Maintaining accurate and confidential payroll and employee records
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls and efficiency
- Supporting time and attendance administration and reporting

About You
We’re looking for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working with numbers, data and systems, and who takes genuine ownership of their work. This is a great opportunity for a French-speaking Payroll Specialist to take real ownership of European payroll within an international Finance environment.
