A globally recognised organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its international payroll function. Operating across multiple countries, the business offers a collaborative and supportive environment where payroll plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional employee experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team with exposure to both UK and European payroll operations.
Please note - Although this role is remote, you must be based in the UK with valid RTW until at least June 2027 to be considered.
Your new role
As Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of multiple payrolls across the UK and Europe. Working closely with HR, Finance, employees and external payroll providers, you will ensure payroll activities are compliant, efficient and delivered to a high standard.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing end-to-end payroll processing across multiple UK and European entities.
- Processing pensions, benefits and statutory payroll requirements.
- Supporting year-end payroll activities and compliance obligations.
- Maintaining payroll records and ensuring the accuracy of payroll data.
- Reviewing and reconciling payroll information received from HR systems.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to gather payroll-related information.
- Managing relationships with external payroll providers and third-party partners.
- Investigating and resolving payroll queries and discrepancies.
- Producing payroll reports and supporting finance reconciliation processes.
- Assisting with payroll improvement initiatives and project work.
- Providing support and cover across the wider payroll team as required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced payroll professional with strong UK payroll knowledge and exposure to processing payrolls across Europe.
You will also demonstrate:
- Experience managing multi-country payrolls within a complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, taxation and statutory processes.
- Excellent Excel skills, including data analysis and payroll reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- The ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
- A proactive, adaptable and solution-focused approach to work.
- Payroll qualification (completed or in progress) would be advantageous.
- Experience of payroll and HR systems within a large-scale environment would be beneficial.
