Role: Payroll Specialist

Location: Reading, UK
Experience: 4+ years

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end UK payroll processing.
  • Process starters, leavers, salary changes, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and statutory payments.
  • Ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, RTI, pensions, and UK payroll legislation.
  • Complete payroll reconciliations and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit HMRC/RTI reports.
  • Manage employee payroll queries and provide timely resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
  • Work closely with HR and Finance teams.
  • Support payroll audits and ensure all payroll deadlines are met.

  • 4+ years of UK Payroll experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, RTI, and UK payroll legislation.
  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Experience with UK pension schemes and statutory payments.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
