Moore is a leading Irish provider of accountancy and advisory services for smart, commercially ambitious enterprises seeking the highest standards in client service and expertise.

At Moore, we have a dedicated Payroll team, which due to ongoing expansion is seeking to recruit a Trainee Payroll Specialist where the successful candidate will participate in the delivery of quality payroll services to a diverse portfolio of clients, varying from sole traders to small and medium sized businesses.

The role is based in our Galway office with a hybrid working model and candidates should be motivated, collaborative, enthusiastic, and driven in their approach to their career.

The duties of this role include:

  • Responsible for processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for clients of our Payroll Bureau, to include processing of amendments; starters; leavers; tax credit downloads and creation and transmission of bank files.
  • Produce and check payroll reports prior to dispatch to clients.
  • Dealing with responding to client payroll queries.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and employment legislation.

Demonstrable Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Experience in a payroll or administrative function.
  • Be an enthusiastic individual with experience working in payroll.
  • Have good IT skills, particularly in payroll and email software.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be willing to learn and work as part of a team.
  • Have a positive attitude and be solution-focused in their approach to work.
