About The Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our UK payroll team on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a prestigious financial services institution known for its sector leadership and excellent reputation. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing UK payrolls with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries. This position requires a proactive individual with strong payroll knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders. The role is based in the city center, offering a hybrid working model and attractive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in UK payroll processing, with a thorough understanding of statutory deductions, HMRC submissions, and payroll legislation.
- Previous experience working with EMEA payrolls is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with internal teams and external agencies.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of benefit administration processes, including employee enrollments and claims.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A relevant payroll certification or qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities
- Processing monthly UK payrolls accurately, ensuring all statutory deductions, pension contributions, and HMRC submissions are correctly calculated and filed on time.
- Supporting the coordination and processing of payrolls across multiple EMEA countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Performing regular payroll reconciliations to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Producing detailed payroll reports and analysis to support decision-making processes for the wider business and stakeholders.
- Managing benefit administration activities, including benefits renewals, employee enrollments, and handling related queries efficiently.
- Driving compliance initiatives within the payroll department by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation and internal policies.
- Collaborating with internal teams such as HR, finance, and external tax advisors to ensure seamless payroll operations and taxation compliance.
- Assisting with audits and ensuring all payroll data is accurate and compliant with statutory and internal standards.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to streamline payroll processes and enhance service delivery.
