About Us

Spectra Care is a compassionate and forward-thinking care provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and behaviours that may challenge. We operate supported living services that focus on empowering individuals to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives in the community.

We are passionate about enabling people with complex needs to live full, purposeful lives. Our values-led organisation is dedicated to delivering personalised support rooted in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Active Support principles.

The Role

As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the individuals we support through proactive behavioural strategies and collaborative planning.

You will provide hands-on training, mentorship, and guidance to support workers, ensuring that person-centred care is consistently delivered and that team members feel confident and capable in their roles. You will also serve as a liaison between families, external professionals, and internal teams, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct descriptive functional behaviour assessments to understand the reasons behind behaviours of concern.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) tailored to individual needs.
  • Lead on the reduction and monitoring of restrictive practices in line with the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) principles.
  • Design and implement data collection systems to evaluate and measure behavioural interventions.
  • Provide structured coaching, guidance, and feedback to support staff and promote the consistent use of PBS strategies.
  • Support services in aligning practice with person-centred values and promote the inclusion, autonomy, and rights of individuals.
  • Deliver training on PBS, Active Support, and related topics to improve staff knowledge and confidence.
  • Facilitate regular cascade and team meetings to review progress, share learning, and reinforce good practice.
  • Contribute to service planning, risk assessments, and multi-disciplinary discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with families and professionals, such as clinical psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and contribute to audit, research, and service evaluation as required.
  • Uphold safeguarding and data protection standards in all aspects of your work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
