Statement Of Expectation For The Role
As a Safer Neighbourhoods PC, you will be at the heart of community policing, working closely with residents, local businesses, schools, partner agencies, and community groups to address local concerns and improve public confidence.
You will play a key role in identifying and tackling crime, anti-social behaviour, and vulnerability issues while building strong relationships with the communities you serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol neighbourhoods and engage positively with local communities.
- Develop community intelligence to identify emerging concerns and crime trends.
- Work in partnership with local authorities, housing providers, schools, and community organisations.
- Safeguard vulnerable individuals and support victims of crime.
- Attend community meetings and local events to build trust and confidence.
- Deliver problem-solving initiatives to address long-term neighbourhood issues.
- Support wider policing operations when required.

Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working with external stakeholders
- Experience of problem orientated policing
Eligibility
- Substantive Police Constable with no operational restrictions
- Free of any live/ongoing misconduct findings
- Willing to work the required shift patterns.
The application and interview will be tested under Level 1 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job role will not be considered.
