Job Description:

This is a role within the Castrol organisation and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.

Role Purpose

The P&C Partner will provide strategic and hands-on partnering support to selected Global Supply Chain (GSC) functions and UK-based Technology teams. Working closely with business leaders, P&C partnering colleagues, Centres of Expertise (CoEs), People Relations, and Operations & Advisory, the role will translate business and people priorities into practical actions and deliverables.

The role will operate across a mix of global, functional, and UK-based priorities, flexing between business partnering, organisational and talent activity, employee matters, and project delivery. It requires strong business understanding, sound judgement, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities of varying complexity, impact, geography, and duration.

Role Purpose

  • Partner with leaders across the assigned GSC functions and UK Technology teams to understand business priorities and shape practical people solutions.
  • Translate agreed P&C priorities into tangible actions and project deliverables that support delivery of the people plan and business strategy.
  • Connect leaders with the appropriate P&C services and specialist expertise, while maintaining clear ownership and coordination across the end-to-end employee lifecycle.
  • Work flexibly across business partnering and flow-to-work priorities, including periods of peak demand and organisational change.

Role Accountabilities

  • Build trusted relationships with leaders across the assigned GSC and Technology client groups, providing pragmatic coaching, challenge, and P&C advice.
  • Support the development and delivery of people priorities, including organisation design, workforce planning, talent and succession, performance and development, engagement, inclusion, and capability building.
  • Partner with People Relations and relevant specialists on employee relations matters, ensuring appropriate, consistent, and timely handling of issues within the UK context and across relevant GSC interfaces.
  • Support business change and reorganisation activity from planning through implementation, with clear stakeholder engagement, change impact assessment, and disciplined execution.
  • Work with partnering and CoE colleagues to plan and deliver prioritised P&C initiatives, ensuring solutions are relevant to the operational, functional, and cultural context of the supported teams.
  • Use people data and insights to identify themes, inform decisions, track outcomes, and enable focused leadership action.
  • Maintain strong understanding of the supported businesses, their operating models, capabilities, and key people risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute effectively within multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams, collaborating across time zones and organisational boundaries.
  • Promote continuous improvement and agile ways of working, simplifying P&C delivery and focusing effort on the highest-value priorities.
  • Where relevant to supported 24/7 operations, be willing and able to support Crisis & Continuity Management and/or Incident Management Team activity in line with business arrangements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
