NEW PCB DESIGN ENGINEER BASED IN SEDGEFIELD.
Our client are a UK based engineering organisation specialising in advanced RF, microwave and millimetre wave technologies. The business designs and manufactures high performance communication systems used across telecommunications, aerospace, defence and space applications.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of complex electronic hardware used in some of the world's most demanding applications.
Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will collaborate closely with RF, electronics, mechanical, FPGA, software and manufacturing teams to develop robust, high quality PCB designs from concept through to production.

Responsibilities as a PCB Layout Engineer in Sedgefield
- Own PCB layout activities across complex electronic products and subsystems.
- Convert schematic designs into high quality PCB layouts that meet electrical, mechanical, thermal and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop designs with consideration for signal integrity, controlled impedance, grounding strategies, power distribution, thermal performance and EMC compliance.
- Generate complete fabrication, assembly and manufacturing documentation packages.
- Support continuous improvement of PCB standards, templates, libraries and design processes.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers to resolve design and production challenges.
- Assist with prototype builds, board bring up activities and PCB related investigations.
- Create, maintain and validate component libraries, symbols and footprints.

Requirements as a PCB Layout Engineer in Sedgefield
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering.
- Experience taking PCB designs from schematic through to manufacturing release.
