PCB Technologist
As part of MBDA's Electronic Engineering function, PCB Technologists are responsible for providing a technical support service for all internal programs in the UK and with non UK teams developing new technologies across all areas of PCB design, manufacture and assembly
Salary
Up to £40,500 depending on experience
Location
Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic (hybrid) working
2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of our electronic design and manufacturing capability within our highly complex electronic sub-systems, from concept through to full production and beyond.
Working in a supportive environment alongside Technical Experts, you will support and develop a varied portfolio of electronic design and manufacturing technologies. This will require you to:
- Support the development and evaluation of new processes and equipment at a national and international level. Working collaboratively with internal and external partners/suppliers, visiting as necessary including international travel
- Have an understanding of printed circuit board manufacture and/or Circuit card assembly
- Support the assessment of printed circuit board fabrication via laboratory work and work with PCB suppliers and MBDA manufacturing centres
- Support the adoption of agreed methodologies including generating documented standards within national and international teams
- Support the Multi-Function Team with Purchasing and Quality representatives with supplier assessments and operational reviews
- Support the internal PCB design team and Electronic Engineers with new PCB stack-ups, design rule application and footprint creation for new and emerging component technologies

What we're looking for from you
- Understanding of PCB Design/Manufacture/Assembly technologies
- Strong communication skills to facilitate regular face to face and electronic communications with all relevant stakeholders
- Determined individual that is self-motivated with a methodical, logical approach and an appetite to learn and progress while working with peers
- Committed to achieve objectives on time and to a high professional standard
- Ability/flexibility to travel to other locations including international when required
