Your role
In the role of a Principal Consultant, you will anchor the engagement effort for assignments, all the way from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development and deployment. You will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes, deliverables. As a thought leader in your domain, you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You will anchor business pursuit initiatives, client training, in-house capability building. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Required
- 15+ years of experience in solution architecture and software development, preferably within aerospace, defence, or other mission-critical engineering environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in.NET (C#), SQL Server, web application architecture, APIs, and enterprise application integration.
- Proven experience designing, modernising, and supporting business-critical applications, including migration of legacy desktop solutions to scalable web or cloud platforms.
- Experience with OpenShift or comparable cloud/container platforms, including deployment, production support, and business-continuity ownership.
- Ability to lead senior engineering teams and provide architecture governance, code quality oversight, technical direction, and delivery accountability.
- Strong client-facing consulting skills, including requirements discovery, solution design, stakeholder management, architecture reviews, and executive-level communication.
- Demonstrated ability to automate complex engineering or operational workflows and deliver measurable efficiency, quality, and cycle-time improvements.
- Experience collaborating with cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, customer-services, engineering, and supplier stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, IIS, source control, release management, incident resolution, and structured user-support models.

Preferred
- Experience delivering digital solutions for the wider aerospace repair, customer-services, high-lift, wing, or airframe engineering ecosystem.
- Knowledge of structural repair workflows, engineering analysis tools, supplier collaboration, and globally deployed repair-management platforms.
- Experience with AI-assisted development, large-language-model integration, computer vision using OpenCV, and automated extraction of structured data from images or PDFs.
- Experience with VBA, JavaScript or Google Apps Script, HTML, CSS, XML, MySQL, CMS platforms such as Umbraco, and Google Workspace.
- Understanding of export-control compliance, secure data classification, vulnerability reporting, and software assurance in regulated environments.
- Track record of leading critical account recovery, production stabilisation, global rollouts, and zero-downtime continuity for enterprise platforms.
