Your Role
As a PDM Technician SAP SME, your mission is to role provide SAP subject matter expertise for the creation and maintenance of product data, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) for full systems, buildable assemblies and spares. The role requires strong knowledge of routings, documentation, and assembly structures, and takes the lead in investigating cross-functional data issues, identifying root causes and presenting practical solutions. You will report to the PDM Team Lead.
You Will
- Be the PDM SAP SME (Subject Matter Expert) looking to resolve internal and external team queries.
- Develops, implements, and continuously improves PDM standards and procedures.
- Come up with and support local SAP Process Improvements.
- Liaise with the Atlas Copco Global SAP Team in support of finding solutions to complex SAP queries/projects.
- Train and introduce SAP to new starters in the Engineering functions.
- Creation, maintenance, and conversion of Bills of Materials.
- Work closely with a variety of departments to ensure the rules for structuring BOMs for a product are understood, recorded, and revision controlled.

- Expert SAP Understanding and Experience
- Experience of training and developing others
- Experience of initiating Continuous-/Process Improvements
- Great attention to detail and ability to concentrate for extended periods
- Good interpersonal and team working skills
- The ability to manage and process high volumes of data accurately
- Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment
- Great Microsoft Excel knowledge and experience with other Office365 programs
- Able to manage own workload and meet deadlines.

Job Location
This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Bristol, United Kingdom (GB). You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
