FEMALE PE TEACHER / HEAD OF PE: TOWER HAMLETS: MATERNITY COVER: ASAP START

Position: Maternity Cover: September to October 2026
Role: PE Teacher or Head of PE considered
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Female PE Teacher or Female Head of PE to join a successful East London secondary school for short-term maternity cover from September.
The school is happy to consider either an outstanding PE Teacher or an experienced Head of PE who can provide leadership to the department during the cover period.
About The PE Teacher Role
The successful Female PE Teacher / Head of PE will:
- Teach high-quality PE and Sports Studies
- Inspire students of all abilities to enjoy and achieve in PE
- Join a strong, established, and supportive PE department
- Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and behavior
- Potentially lead and support the department during the maternity absence
- Contribute positively from day one
The Successful PE Teacher Will Be
- An experienced secondary PE Teacher
- An excellent classroom practitioner
- Passionate about PE and Sports Studies
- Confident, organized, and a strong communicator
- Flexible and able to quickly settle into an established department
- Ambitious, hardworking, and a good team player
- Available full time from September 2026
