Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Part-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our dedicated team at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. In this role, you will provide anesthesia care for pediatric patients in a variety of surgical and medical procedures. You will work in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care, safety, and comfort for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for pediatric patients undergoing surgeries, diagnostic procedures, and interventions.
- Collaborate with surgeons, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.
- Monitor and manage patients’ vital signs, ensuring patient safety before, during, and after anesthesia.
- Participate in preoperative assessments and educate patients and families about the anesthesia process.
- Respond to emergency situations with quick, effective actions and protocols to stabilize and protect patients.
- Provide ongoing care and follow-up post-procedure to ensure recovery and address any complications.
- Maintain thorough, accurate patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, educational activities, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and board certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
- Valid, unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure in Florida.
- Proven experience in pediatric anesthesia care, including the administration of general, regional, and local anesthesia.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric anatomy, physiology, and anesthesia pharmacology.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility and willingness to work a rotating schedule, including on-call coverage, weekends, and holidays.
