Cayman Islands | Relocation Required
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with strong safeguarding experience for a specialist Child Protection opportunity based in the Cayman Islands.
Working within a multi-agency safeguarding environment, you will provide specialist health expertise to support the protection and wellbeing of children, young people, and families. The role involves working collaboratively across health, social care, education, and other partner services to assess safeguarding concerns, identify risk, and support coordinated decisions and interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret health and safeguarding information from referrals
- Identify risk, repeated presentations, cumulative harm, neglect, and unexplained injuries
- Contribute to strategy discussions, risk assessments, and complex safeguarding meetings
- Provide specialist advice on child development, injuries, neglect, and appropriate medical or safeguarding interventions
- Support joint visits, particularly those involving babies and young children
- Contribute to and, where appropriate, chair multi-agency and domestic abuse meetings
- Promote child-centred, trauma-informed, and restorative practice
- Deliver safeguarding training and support community prevention initiatives
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely records
- Contribute to audits, case reviews, quality assurance, and service improvement
- Work within established clinical governance arrangements

What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse with current professional registration
- Significant experience safeguarding children, young people, and families
- Experience within a MASH, safeguarding hub, or comparable multi-agency environment
- Experience contributing to multi-agency risk assessments and safeguarding decisions
- Ability to interpret complex health and safeguarding information
- Strong communication skills and professional judgement
- Excellent record-management and confidentiality standards
- Confidence working with sensitive and complex safeguarding cases
We welcome applications from Registered Nurses with safeguarding experience across a range of professional backgrounds, including paediatric/children’s nursing, health visiting, community nursing, public health, safeguarding, and child protection.

Experience involving babies and young children, domestic abuse, neglect, unexplained injuries, missing children, or criminal exploitation would be advantageous.
Experience chairing multi-agency meetings, delivering safeguarding training, or working with trauma-informed and restorative approaches would also be beneficial.
Professional Registration
Applicants must currently be registered/licensed in one of the following approved jurisdictions:

Successful candidates will be required to provide a Letter of Good Standing from the relevant registering/licensing authority in the jurisdiction where they are currently practicing.
Relocation to the Cayman Islands
This is an on-site position based in the Cayman Islands, and relocation is required.
