Clinical Research Nurse (RGN)
Role Overview:
As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will be integral to delivering cutting-edge pediatric clinical trials. You’ll perform venepuncture and clinical assessments on children aged 10 and above, supporting a study involving dosing visits and blood sample collections across a flexible schedule. Your expertise will ensure the safety and comfort of young participants and help advance important medical research. This role requires adaptability, clinical precision, and a genuine passion for improving health outcomes.
Required Skills:
- Fully NMC Registered Nurse (RSCN/RCN) or equivalent
- Proven experience performing venepuncture on children aged 10+
- Competency in Port Access and Infusion procedures
- Full LPA (Limb Port Access) competencies, capable of performing Symptom Directed Physical Assessments for Vasculitis signs
- Experience in vaccine or clinical trial settings preferred
- Valid enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service) and BLS certification
- Own a car, hold a valid driving license, and live within an hour of Oakham
- Flexibility to attend tandem visits and unscheduled assessment visits

Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with children with similar conditions
- Ability to perform both LPA procedures, with preference for proficiency in both
- Familiarity with pediatric study protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with NMC registration in Paediatrics
- Recent, hands-on venepuncture experience within the last 6-12 months
- Experience with physical assessments, port access, and infusion procedures in a pediatric setting
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start immediately, with flexibility for scheduled and unscheduled visits October 2026
