About the Role

Help learners build the skills, confidence and resilience they need for a positive future.

We're looking for a passionate, practical and learner-focused Peer Mentoring & Employability Skills Tutor to deliver engaging, purposeful learning that supports prisoners in preparing for life after release.

In this rewarding role, you'll deliver accredited qualifications from Gateway Entry Level 3 to Level 1, covering essential employability topics such as communication, confidence and workplace readiness as well as delivering training to prisoners to become valued Peer Mentors within our department.

Working with groups of up to 12 prison-based learners, you'll take a personalised approach to learning, supporting individuals to identify their strengths, develop practical skills and work towards meaningful personal and employment goals. You'll help learners build the knowledge, confidence and independence they need to take positive steps towards life in the community and the workplace.

More than teaching – it's about progression

As a Peer Mentoring & Employability Skills Tutor, you'll create a positive, inclusive and restorative learning environment where learners are encouraged to take responsibility, reflect on their experiences and recognise their potential.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
