Job Role: Pega Business Analyst

Job Type: Permanent

Work Location: United Kingdom, Hybrid working

Experience: MUST have 4+ years as Pega BA

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Investigates operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
  • Assists in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems, and identifies options for consideration.
  • Works iteratively with stakeholders, to identify potential benefits and available options for consideration, and in defining acceptance tests.
  • Facilitates scoping and business priority-setting for change initiatives of medium size and complexity.
  • Contributes to selection of the most appropriate means of representing business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative, ensuring traceability back to source.
  • Discovers and analyses requirements for fitness for purpose as well as adherence to business objectives and consistency, challenging positively as appropriate.
  • Obtains formal agreement by stakeholders and recipients to scope and requirements and establishes a base-line on which delivery of a solution can commence.
  • Manages requests for and the application of changes to requirements. Identifies the impact on business requirements of interim (e.g. migration) scenarios as well as the required end position.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience eliciting and elaborating requirements
  • Experience managing a product backlog
  • Proven ability to produce data and process models using UML
  • Experience in managing stakeholders
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum Agile framework, and Kanban Agile framework
  • Experience performing a proxy Product Owner role in the absence of Product Owner

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience modelling using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
  • Experience working with stakeholders to produce and review training and system guidance
  • Completion of (or tangible evidence of working towards) Certified PEGA Business Architect (CPBA) certification
  • Experience working with JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience of participation in architectural decision making at various levels
  • Knowledge of Monitoring systems, primarily Dynatrace

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have 4+ years’ experience as Pega BA
  • Must have experience working in an agile development environment
  • Must be Certified Pega Business Architect
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
