Role: Pega Decisioning Consultant
Location: London - 3 days working from onsite
Employment Mode: Insideir35 Contract
Role Summary
As a Decisioning Scientist, candidates will design, develop, and optimize intelligent customer decisioning strategies to deliver personalized, relevant, and compliant customer engagement across all channels for PBWM. This role requires strong expertise in Pega decisioning, Next Best Action (NBA) design, customer data-driven strategies, and integration with enterprise data platforms.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Decisioning Strategy Design & Implementation
- Design, build, and deploy Next Best Action (NBA) strategies across the customer lifecycle.
- Configure and implement decision logic in Pega CDH including Eligibility rules, Arbitration and prioritization logic, Engagement policies, Adaptive and predictive components.
- Deliver consistent and personalized decisioning across multiple channels (e.g., RM desktop, mobile, web, email, assisted journeys).
- Translate business objectives into scalable and practical decisioning solutions.

2. Data-Driven Decisioning and Integration
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to consume and use customer, portfolio, transaction, behavioral, and interaction data for decisioning.
- Work with enterprise data sources and APIs to enable real-time and batch-driven decision strategies.
- Ensure proper mapping of customer attributes, segments, propensity indicators, and contextual signals into the Pega decisioning framework.
- Support integration of Pega decisioning with broader banking platforms, CRM systems, and engagement channels.
3. Analysis, Testing, and Optimization
- Perform simulations, testing, and validation of decision strategies before production release.
- Fine-tune prioritization, engagement policies, and strategy performance based on feedback and business outcomes.
- Analyze decision performance, rule behavior, and campaign/engagement effectiveness.
- Continuously improve decision outcomes using adaptive models, historical data, and business insights.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to design effective decisioning solutions.
- Translate business problems into analytical and decisioning approaches.
- Contribute to design workshops, backlog refinement, and agile delivery processes.
- Communicate decisioning outcomes, insights, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills required
- Candidate will need to be educated to degree level in a numerate discipline or have equivalent, practical experience in an analysis-related field.
- They will also need hands-on experience with Pega Decisioning, and have an awareness of the Adobe Web Analytics toolset.
- They should also demonstrate:
- A good understanding of analytical or database querying software, data visualization software, big data environments, or using cloud environments for the analysis of customer propositions.
- Experience of articulating and translating business questions using statistical or analytical techniques.
- Good stakeholder management skills and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience of managing risks.
