Role: Pega Developer

Location: United Kingdom (Remote) (Occasional travel to Telford, UK – on demand)

Duration: 6 Months Contract with possibility of renewal

Note: "We are not offering sponsorship"

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Pega Developer (Certified Senior System Architect - CSSA) to support the delivery of fix-forward activities within a large-scale Pega transformation programme. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Pega application development, workflow configuration, defect resolution, and Agile delivery, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions against prioritized backlogs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and deliver agreed business use cases from the prioritized WP6 backlog.
  • Develop, configure, and maintain Pega applications using best-practice design principles.
  • Conduct peer reviews and unit testing to ensure solution quality and compliance.
  • Resolve defects and support user acceptance testing within established change control processes.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.
  • Promote application changes through controlled environments and release processes.
  • Produce sprint acceptance evidence and contribute to project documentation and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical debt remediation where required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of IT and software development experience.
  • 6+ years of hands-on Pega development experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Pega Application Configuration
    • Case Management & Workflow Development
    • Defect Investigation & Resolution
    • Unit Testing & Peer Reviews
    • Guardrail-Compliant Development
    • User Acceptance Testing Support
    • Agile & Scrum Delivery
    • Integration Development
  • Experience delivering solutions within controlled release and change management environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Experience working within UK Public Sector programmes is desirable.
