Pega DevOps Architect

Location: UK – Any location
Work Pattern: Hybrid
Contract: Contract

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Pega DevOps Architect to design, implement and govern CI/CD and DevOps solutions for Pega Platform applications. The successful candidate will have strong experience in Pega architecture, Pega Deployment Manager, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, source control, artifact management, and DevOps tooling. They will work closely with Pega architects, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to establish secure, automated, and reliable deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Pega DevOps and CI/CD architecture across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
  • Design and manage Pega Deployment Manager pipelines.
  • Automate application packaging, branch merging, testing, and deployment.
  • Define deployment and environment strategies for Pega applications.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar tools.
  • Integrate Pega DevOps with Git/GitHub/Bitbucket and artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory/Nexus.
  • Establish automated quality gates, approvals, security checks, and test execution.
  • Support Pega application releases and production deployments.
  • Define branching, versioning, and release-management standards.
  • Troubleshoot deployment and pipeline failures and improve deployment reliability.
  • Integrate Pega DevOps APIs with enterprise DevOps toolchains.
  • Work with infrastructure teams on cloud, containers, and Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments where applicable.
  • Establish DevOps governance, standards, documentation, and best practices.
  • Mentor Pega development and DevOps teams.

Pega's DevOps architecture includes an orchestrator, source-control system, build management, artifact repository, test framework, and quality inspection components. Pega also supports integration with tools such as Jenkins and Microsoft Azure DevOps.

Mandatory Skills

Pega:

  • Strong Pega Platform / Pega PRPC experience.
  • Pega application architecture and deployment experience.
  • Strong hands-on Pega DevOps experience.
  • Pega Deployment Manager experience.
  • Understanding of Pega application packaging and deployment.
  • Pega branch management and merging.
