Role Summary

A PEGA Lead System Architect (LSA) is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-grade business applications using the PEGA platform. The LSA provides technical leadership, ensures adherence to PEGA best practices, guides development teams, and works closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of PEGA applications.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions using PEGA best practices.
  • Design scalable, reusable, and maintainable application frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to System Architects (SAs) and Senior System Architects (SSAs).
  • Review application design, code quality, and implementation standards.
  • Manage integrations with external systems through APIs, web services, databases, and middleware.
  • Lead performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization activities.
  • Support application deployment, release management, and production issues.
  • Ensure governance, security, and compliance standards are followed.
  • Work with business, product owners, architects, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • PEGA Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification preferred or in progress.
  • Strong experience in PEGA PRPC/Pega Platform development.
  • Expertise in Case Management, BPM, Decisioning, and Workflow automation.
  • Experience with:
    • PEGA Infinity platform
    • Integrations (REST, SOAP, MQ, APIs)
    • Data modeling and database concepts
    • UI design and Dev Studio/App Studio
    • Security and access controls
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience

  • Typically 8+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on PEGA development experience.
  • Experience leading PEGA teams and enterprise-level implementations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PEGA CLSA Certification.
  • Experience in Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Telecom, or Retail domains.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing.
