Job Description – PEGA React Developer (SC Cleared)
Client: Public Sector
Role: React Developer / PEGA Constellation Developer
Location: UK
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until 31 March 2027, with option for extension
Security Requirement: Active SC Clearance (Mandatory)
Role Overview
We are looking for experienced React Developers with PEGA Constellation experience to support a large-scale Public Sector transformation programme. The successful candidates will be responsible for developing and enhancing user interfaces, creating custom DX Components, extending Constellation capabilities, and delivering scalable, secure, and user-friendly digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using React.js and PEGA Constellation.
- Design and build reusable UI components and front-end frameworks.
- Create and customize DX Components to extend standard PEGA Constellation functionality.
- Configure application UI, reusable sections, themes, and skins within the PEGA platform.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, UX Designers, and Development teams to deliver business requirements.
- Integrate front-end applications with APIs, backend services, and external systems.
- Ensure applications are responsive, accessible, secure, and optimized for performance.
- Participate in solution design reviews and recommend best practices for React and PEGA development.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and integration issues.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards and development best practices.
- Support Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation as required.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js development.
- Experience working with PEGA Platform, preferably PEGA Constellation.
- Experience developing and customizing DX Components.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience building reusable component libraries and responsive user interfaces.
- Experience integrating applications with REST APIs and external services.
- Knowledge of PEGA UI architecture and Constellation best practices.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Active SC Clearance (Mandatory).

Preferred Skills
- Previous experience within UK Public Sector environments.
- PEGA certifications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or React Testing Library.
Candidate Profile
Strong React Developer with proven PEGA Constellation experience. Ability to design and deliver scalable, high-quality front-end solutions. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Comfortable working in fast-paced enterprise and Public Sector environments.
