Cyber Defence Services – Senior Penetration Tester

Role Detail

Location: Leeds, Bristol, London, or remote/hybrid working

Rate: £700+ per day Inside IR35 (depending on experience)

Clearance: Active SC Clearance required, DV advantageous

Focus: Application Security and Penetration Testing

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and lead application penetration testing engagements
  • Scope and manage testing activities, risks, and client expectations
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of technical deliverables
  • Coach and support junior team members and testers
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development
  • Support continuous improvement of testing methodologies and services

  • Strong hands-on experience in application penetration testing
  • Expertise across web applications, APIs, and mobile security testing
  • Proven background delivering security testing engagements within the UK cyber security industry
  • Solid understanding of information security principles, networks, and programming
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
