Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Penetration Tester.

The Penetration Tester will plan and execute security assessments on applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments, identifying vulnerabilities and providing clear, remediation guidance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting penetration tests and red team exercises
  • Performing technical analysis of security controls
  • Preparing concise reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

The role involves collaborating with consultants and engineering teams to enhance security posture for clients in regulated and security-sensitive sectors, as well as contributing to the development of internal testing methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • Strong cybersecurity and application security skills
  • Red teaming and penetration testing skills
  • Reverse engineering and malware analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of network, cloud, and operating system security fundamentals
  • Experience with common penetration testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux)
  • Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CREST, CEH, GIAC, or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to produce clear, structured security reports and communicate findings to diverse audiences
  • Self-directed work style suited to a remote, part-time consulting environment
