Mae Esgobaeth Bangor yn gwasanaethu cymunedau ledled Gogledd-orllewin a Chanolbarth Cymru. Drwy Dîm Deiniol, mae’r Esgobaeth yn darparu cymorth ym meysydd cyllid, llywodraethu, diogelu, eiddo, gweinyddu a gweithrediadau i Ardaloedd Gweinidogaeth, clerigion, ymddiriedolwyr a gweithgareddau esgobaethol.
Fel uwch arweinydd proffesiynol yr Esgobaeth ym maes rheolaeth ariannol, bydd y Pennaeth Cyllid yn gweithio’n agos gydag Ysgrifennydd yr Esgobaeth, yr Esgob a’r ymddiriedolwyr. Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn darparu arweinyddiaeth ariannol strategol, yn cryfhau cynllunio a rheolaethau ariannol, ac yn helpu i sicrhau cynaliadwyedd ariannol hirdymor yr Esgobaeth.
Mae’r swydd yn cynnwys:
- Arwain yr adran gyllid a datblygu’r tîm cyllid
- Cyngori’r ymddiriedolwyr ac uwch arweinwyr ar strategaeth ariannol, perfformiad, risgiau ac opsiynau
- Arwain y gwaith o gyllidebu’n flynyddol, cynllunio ariannol tair blynedd, rhagweld a modelu senarios
- Goruchwylio cyfrifon rheoli, adrodd statudol, archwilio a chydymffurfiaeth reoleiddiol
- Darparu goruchwyliaeth strategol dros gronfeydd wrth gefn, llif arian, buddsoddiadau a rheolaeth y trysorlys
- Cryfhau systemau, rheolaethau a threfniadau llywodraethu ariannol
- Cynorthwyo Ardaloedd Gweinidogaeth i ddatblygu arferion ariannol cadarn a chynaliadwy
- Goruchwylio’r gwasanaethau ariannol a ddarperir i elusennau, ymddiriedolaethau, byrddau a chronfeydd eraill a gefnogir gan Dîm Deiniol
Mae’r Esgobaeth yn cychwyn ar gyfnod newydd pwysig, gan adeiladu ar adolygiad llywodraethu diweddar a’r newidiadau cadarnhaol sydd eisoes ar waith. Mae cyfrifoldebau cliriach, goruchwyliaeth gryfach ac ymrwymiad ar y cyd i atebolrwydd yn gosod sylfeini cadarn ar gyfer y dyfodol.

The Diocese of Bangor is seeking an experienced and qualified finance professional to become its new Head of Finance.
The Diocese of Bangor serves communities across North West and Mid Wales. Through Tîm Deiniol, the Bangor Diocesan Board of Finance provides financial, governance, safeguarding, property, administrative and operational support to Ministry Areas, clergy, trustees and diocesan activities.
As the diocese’s senior professional lead for financial management, the Head of Finance will work closely with the Diocesan Secretary, the Bishop and trustees. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, strengthen financial planning and controls, and help ensure the Diocese’s long-term financial sustainability.

The role includes:
- Leading the finance department and developing the finance team
- Advising trustees and senior leaders on financial strategy, performance, risks and options
- Leading annual budgeting, three-year financial planning, forecasting and scenario modelling
- Overseeing management accounts, statutory reporting, audit and regulatory compliance
- Providing strategic oversight of reserves, cash flow, investments and treasury management
- Strengthening financial systems, controls and governance
- Supporting Ministry Areas to develop sound and sustainable financial practices
- Overseeing financial services provided to other charities, trusts, boards and funds supported by Tîm Deiniol

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Diocese at a pivotal time and to shape its financial leadership, governance and long-term sustainability, ensuring that its resources are used effectively to support mission and ministry across the Diocese.
Applicants must hold a CCAB-recognised accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or CIPFA, and have substantial post-qualification experience in a senior finance role. They will need to demonstrate strong strategic, technical and leadership capabilities, together with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly to a wide range of audiences.
Fluency in both Welsh and English is essential.
