Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic person to be part of the Pensions team at Leicestershire County Council, to develop new skills and learn about the new Local Government Pension Scheme. No experience necessary as full training will be given.
Wage £25,629 a year

Hours Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm. 37 hours a week

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Assist with keeping up to date records for all scheme members
- Setting up work tasks for your team
- Help with ‘year-end’ work, updating records with the latest information
- Assist with the administration of team checking spreadsheets
- Collate uploaded documents in preparation for indexing to records

What you'll learn
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- write letters or emails
- create proposals
- perform financial processes
- record and analyse data.
Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including:
- emails
- letters
- files
- payments
- reports and proposals.
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.

Essential qualifications
- GCSE in: 2 other subjects (grade 9 - 4 (A* to C) or equivalent)
- English (grade 9 - 4 (A* to C) or equivalent)
- Mathematics (grade 9 - 4 (A* to C) or equivalent)
