Job Description

Pensions Administrator

Location: Peterborough

Salary: £30,000 + Benefits

Employment Type: Full time, on site

Role purpose:

Senior hands-on administrator who coordinates the team's daily pensions and investment workload, maintains SLA performance, supports and coaches colleagues, quality-checks work, and serves as the first escalation point.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate and prioritise workloads according to capability and experience
  • Monitor progress and ensure SLA delivery
  • Resolve complex queries, client issues, and processing exceptions
  • Quality-check work and provide constructive feedback
  • Coach, mentor, cross-train, and support new starters
  • Process and check product and investment administration
  • Manage queries from clients, IFAs, and product providers
  • Maintain procedures and recommend process improvements
  • Produce MI and SLA reporting, highlighting risks and bottlenecks
  • Support client onboarding and internal projects
  • Deputise for the Operations Team Leader

Must-have Experience And Qualifications:

  • Previous administration experience - explicitly essential
  • Experience organising, allocating, and overseeing team workloads
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy, SLA-driven environment
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent
