Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role

You'll join a friendly, supportive and growing Pensions Administration team, playing a key role in delivering a high-quality service to pension scheme members, trustees and clients.

The role will focus predominantly on administering Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes, including completing accurate calculations, responding to queries and ensuring members receive a professional and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete calculations relating to member benefit entitlements
  • Respond to queries from members, trustees and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and collate pension documentation and information
  • Maintain accurate member records
  • Ensure work is completed accurately and in line with procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Deliver an exceptional level of customer service
  • Contribute to process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent client outcomes

About You

Previous pensions administration experience is essential, with Defined Benefit (DB) experience highly advantageous but not essential for the right person.

We're also keen to hear from experienced Defined Contribution (DC) Pensions Administrators who have strong pensions administration experience and are looking for an opportunity to develop their knowledge and experience within DB schemes.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience in a Pensions Administration role
  • DB pensions administration experience would be advantageous
  • Alternatively, strong DC pensions administration experience with a genuine desire to progress into DB
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
