The Opportunity

Dive into the world of LCP, where your journey in actuarial consulting isn't just about crunching numbers, instead striking an exciting balance between technical work and consulting. Upon joining LCP you will join several project teams of varying sizes, each made up of people from analyst to partner level, working for a range of types of client. The type of work you can expect to be involved in as an analyst in the role include:

  • Data readiness assessment for endgame strategy, including buy-in, buy-out and member option exercises
  • Undertaking data cleanse projects for schemes, including benefit tranching and legacy scheme reconstruction.
  • Large-scale benefit rectification projects e.g. Barber window extension, GMP rectification, GMP equalisation
  • Building and using complex pensions models to analyse data and perform calculations at both individual and scheme level
  • Using LCP’s in-house software to model rectification of pension scheme benefits and produce analysis for client reports
  • Drafting advice, letters and reports for client
  • Attending internal and client meetings
  • Supporting pension schemes with data readiness and cleansing activities, helping them ensure their data is accurate and aligned with strategic needs
  • Supporting communications with clients and their advisers as part of wide-ranging projects
  • Data analysis and checks relating to pension risk transfer and post-transaction administration
  • Preparing figures and analysing the impact of rectifications on pension schemes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
