Pensions Associate

Top 50 International Law Firm

Highly Ranked (Legal 500)

This is a rare opportunity for a Pensions Associate (2-5 PQE) to join a growing, award-winning pensions advisory practice at a leading international law firm.

The Opportunity

You'll join a genuine advisory practice rather than a corporate support function, working with trustees, employers, charities, institutions, master trusts, high net worth individuals, and public bodies. The team is highly ranked in the Legal 500 for both advisory and pensions disputes work, resulting in a team that has grown significantly in recent years.

The pensions practice is the firm's leading team for AI and innovation. If you have a view on how pensions practice should evolve, there's real appetite for that conversation and a chance to shape how the team works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and draft clear, technically sound legal advice on non-contentious pensions matters.
  • Liaise directly with clients and support partners in managing those relationships.
  • Analyse facts and apply current law to give practical, commercial advice.
  • Conduct legal research using internal and external knowledge resources.
  • Attend business development and profile-raising events, including client seminars.
  • Build an internal and external network and contribute to the profile of the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
