You’ll join a fast-growing, UK-wide team supporting MET Police staff, where there’s real pace, change and opportunity to shape how things are done. From delivering high-quality pension casework to guiding others and driving improvements, you’ll play a key role in raising standards. You’ll have the space to take ownership, get involved in project work and build your profile as a specialist in a team that’s still evolving.
What you'll be doing:
- Handling complex pension queries and delivering accurate, compliant casework to tight deadlines.
- Completing and quality-checking pension and payroll calculations to ensure everything is right first time.
- Acting as a go-to for technical questions, supporting and upskilling colleagues.
- Working closely with pension administrators, payroll teams and client stakeholders.
- Analysing and maintaining pension data, ensuring systems stay accurate and reliable.
- Sharing insights and updates to keep stakeholders informed and confident in delivery.

What you’ll bring:
- Solid experience in pension administration.
- Confidence carrying out complex pension calculations.
- Strong understanding of pension legislation and how to apply it.
- Ability to break down technical information for non-specialists.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
It would be great if you had:
- Knowledge of Police or Civil Service Pension Schemes.
- Experience working with payroll or payroll processes.
- A relevant pension or payroll qualification.
- Understanding of how HR and payroll systems work together.
