This role is for a strong Pensions System and Oversight Lead who can deliver excellent BAU pension administration while also helping Morningstar maximise the value of DT Imago Admin. The successful candidate will combine technical SIPP experience with practical system knowledge, supporting Operations day to day and acting as a credible voice of Operations as Product, Change and Technology roll out future DT functionality.

About the Role

The Pensions System & Oversight Lead plays a key role in delivering high-quality pension administration services across the platform. Acting as a senior technical specialist, the role is responsible for managing complex SIPP cases, supporting colleague development, strengthening controls and improving service delivery.

A key feature of this role is the ability to work effectively with DT Imago. The individual does not need to have worked for Dunstan Thomas directly, but should have strong hands-on experience using the system and understand how it supports pension operations, client servicing, workflow management and control.

The role will work closely with the Platform Administration Manager, wider Operations teams and, where required, Product, Change and Technology colleagues. The successful candidate will help bridge BAU delivery and future platform enhancement by translating operational requirements into practical, scalable system/process solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Operational Delivery

  • Manage end-to-end SIPP administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing of contributions, crystallisation, drawdown, transfers, closures, wind-ups, death benefits and divorce cases in line with regulatory requirements, internal controls and service standards.
  • Review and validate work completed by others, ensuring strong quality assurance, risk management and client outcome standards.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex pension queries, technical issues and operational exceptions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
