📍 Remote, UK | Occasional Travel to Newcastle upon Tyne 💼 Full Time
At True Potential, we're looking for a highly experienced Pensions Technical Specialist to join our growing pensions team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a pension professional with deep technical expertise across DC pensions, SIPPs, SSASs, and pension legislation to play a key role in supporting our operations, driving technical excellence, and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
- ✅ Act as the technical expert for complex pension and platform queries.
- ✅ Provide guidance on:
- Defined Contribution (DC) pensions
- SIPPs and SSASs
- Pension drawdown
- Auto-enrolment
- Pension taxation
- Death benefits
- Pension disputes and technical casework
- ✅ Analyse and interpret pension legislation and regulatory changes.
- ✅ Support complaint handling, IDRP cases, and technical escalations.
- ✅ Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- ✅ Deliver technical training and knowledge sharing across the business.
- ✅ Contribute to pension and platform change projects.

What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- Extensive experience within pension administration and technical pensions.
- Strong knowledge of UK pension legislation and regulation.
- Experience working with Personal Pensions, SIPPs, and SSASs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability.
- Experience interpreting regulatory change and implementing operational improvements.
- Relevant Financial Services qualifications (R04, FPC, ACII, CF9 or equivalent) are highly desirable.
