PEOPLE ADMINISTRATOR
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Location: Newton-le-Willows
Contract: 3 Month Temp
Start Date: September
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous HR or People Administration experience to join a supportive and collaborative team during an exciting period of change. The business is currently implementing a new HRIS, so you'll provide valuable day-to-day support to the wider People function while gaining exposure to new systems and processes.
You'll work closely with the People Assistant and wider team, supporting everything from employee queries and onboarding to recruitment administration and general HR processes.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing the People inbox and responding to employee queries in a professional and timely manner
- Preparing offer letters, contracts and other documentation for new starters
- Providing first-line support and guidance on general People/HR queries
- Supporting recruitment activity, including arranging interviews and communicating with candidates
- Maintaining accurate employee records and documentation
- Producing reports, letters and other HR documentation
- Raising purchase orders and processing payments through SAP
- Managing People-related correspondence, including emails and internal communications
- Supporting the People Assistant and wider team with day-to-day administration
- Assisting with the implementation of the new HRIS and other process improvement projects
- Providing general administrative support across the People function as required

What we're looking for:
- Previous experience within People Administration or a similar administrative role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to deal professionally with employees and candidates
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
- A proactive and dependable approach to your work
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a small, collaborative team
- Good IT skills and confidence working with HR systems
