Job Description
People Administrator
Why This Role?
We're looking for a People Administrator to support the smooth delivery of core People operations across the employee lifecycle. You'll play a vital role in ensuring employees, managers and stakeholders receive a professional, efficient service while maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance activities and helping create a positive employee experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to develop their career within a busy People function.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing administration across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, contractual changes and leaver processes
- Coordinating onboarding activities including right-to-work checks, references, DBS checks, inductions and probation administration
- Maintaining accurate employee records and updating People systems with employee changes
- Supporting absence administration including sickness, parental leave and other leave requests
- Administering employee benefits, enrolments, amendments and employee queries
- Responding to employment references, including mortgage, visa and ex-employee requests
- Supporting compliance activities, audits and record management to ensure data accuracy
- Producing People reports and management information to support business decision-making
- Assisting with annual People processes including salary reviews, benefits renewals and policy updates
- Supporting People projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the People Operations function

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience in a People Administration or HR Administration role
- Experience maintaining employee records and working with HR systems
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative and customer-focused approach
Desirable
- Experience supporting employee benefits administration
- Experience preparing People reports and management information
- Previous exposure to compliance, audit or policy administration activities
- Experience supporting onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
- Knowledge of parental leave, flexible working or absence administration
