At Gearset

At Gearset, we approach our people practices with the same care, curiosity, and attention to detail that we bring to building our product. We believe that creating a world-class DevOps platform starts with creating an environment where people can do their best work. As we continue to grow globally, maintaining a high-performing, people-centred culture that reflects our values matters more than ever.

We’re looking for an experienced People Advisor

In this role, you’ll work closely with managers across the business, helping them navigate the day-to-day realities of leading teams with confidence and consistency. You’ll be a trusted advisor who brings sound judgement to complex situations, balances empathy with honesty, and helps create a positive experience for our people at every stage of their journey with Gearset.

What’s the opportunity for a People Advisor at Gearset?

  • Play a crucial role in driving high performance across the company by guiding and empowering our leaders to build highly engaged, effective teams.
  • Empower managers with practical leadership support, helping them confidently handle everything from career development to sensitive performance conversations without relying on a static HR playbook.
  • Embed yourself within different business areas to ensure that our culture remains consistent, healthy, and high-performing as we continue to grow.
  • Solve complex team challenges using core principles and common sense, giving you the autonomy to deliver practical outcomes rather than getting bogged down in rigid policies.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify or automate administrative workflows, directly collaborating with the wider PeopleOps team to make life easier for managers and employees alike.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
