We are seeking a dedicated People Advisor to provide essential guidance and support on HR matters across the college. This role is pivotal in assisting employees and managers with HR processes, handling employee relations matters, and contributing to a positive and compliant workplace environment.

Day-to-day Of The Role

  • Employee Relations Support: Provide guidance on performance management, absence management, and employee relations. Assist in resolving staff queries and concerns, ensuring fair and consistent HR practices.
  • HR Advisory Services: Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, offering advice in line with employment law and HR best practices. Support staff well-being and engagement initiatives.
  • Learning and Development Support: Identify training needs and coordinate learning activities. Advise on available learning opportunities and guide staff in skill development.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with GDPR. Generate reports to monitor HR metrics and trends.
  • Compliance and Safeguarding: Support the embedding of compliance and safeguarding culture, ensuring adherence to policies and promoting equality and diversity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an HR advisory role, preferably within an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of handling sensitive situations with diplomacy.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and data management, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Commitment to promoting safeguarding and compliance within the workplace.
