We're working exclusively with The Outward Bound Trust to help them recruit their new People Advisor.

Salary: Up to £40k

Benefits: Life assurance, EAP, Long-term disability allowance, Personal Accident insurance, Health Cashplan and more.

Location: Hybrid with 2-3 days per week from offices in Hackthorpe.

Travel: Travelling to other sites in UK every 4 to 6 weeks including occasional overnight stays

The Trust have been around for over 80 years and help young people discover what they're capable of through challenging and life-changing experiences. Behind those experiences are passionate and committed colleagues, and our People team plays a vital role in helping them thrive.

The Job (in a Nutshell)

As a People Advisor, you'll work in partnership with managers, providing practical advice, guidance and coaching on a range of people matters. You'll help them build the confidence and skills to manage their teams effectively, ensuring our policies are applied fairly and consistently and that our people have a positive experience at work.

  • You'll support managers across a broad range of People activities, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, absence, wellbeing, organisational change and policy guidance.
  • No two days are quite the same, and you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference to both managers and employees across the Trust.
  • You'll spend time at our centres and offices, getting to know our teams, building trusted relationships and delivering training that helps managers develop their people management skills.
  • Because relationships matter in this role, you'll regularly visit our centres and offices across the UK. This usually means travelling every 4 to 6 weeks and includes occasional overnight stays.
  • Alongside your People team colleagues, you'll contribute to projects and initiatives that support our People Strategy and help make Outward Bound a great place to work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
