About the role:
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity to make a real difference through effective people advice and employee relations support?
As a People Advisor, you will provide practical, timely and high-quality advice to managers and employees across Nacro, with a particular focus on proactively managing employee relations casework.
You will support managers to navigate a broad range of people matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, probation and flexible working, ensuring cases are managed fairly, consistently and in line with Nacro's policies, employment law and values.
This is a hands-on advisory role where you will take ownership of an allocated caseload, agreeing clear actions and timescales with managers, monitoring progress, identifying potential risks and providing constructive challenge where required. While you will provide advice and guidance throughout the process, managers will remain accountable for managing their employees and making employment decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
