Our Client
Are you an HR professional looking to make a real impact in a fast-paced operational environment? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Advisor to join a global manufacturing business with a wealth of instantly recognisable brands. This role is pivotal in delivering an outstanding people experience, supporting managers and employees across a busy site.
What You'll Do
Working closely with site leadership and the wider People team, you'll provide practical, commercially focused HR advice across a broad range of employee relations and people-related matters. You'll be a trusted partner to managers, helping them navigate complex situations while ensuring consistency, compliance and a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Support employee relations cases including absence, conduct, capability, grievance and probation matters.
- Assist with investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, including preparing documentation and taking meeting notes.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and probation activities.
- Maintain accurate HR records, case management data and people metrics.
- Work collaboratively with occupational health, payroll, health & safety and operational teams.
- Contribute to engagement, wellbeing and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Support positive employee and trade union relationships.

Who We Are Looking For
We're looking for a proactive HR professional who enjoys building relationships, coaching managers and solving problems in a practical way.
You will bring:
- Experience in a HR Advisor, People Advisor or similar operational HR role.
- Strong employee relations knowledge and experience managing HR cases.
- Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, engineering or another operational environment would be advantageous.
- CIPD qualification or working towards professional accreditation is desirable.
