Job Description

Department: People and Culture

Reports To: Head of People

Work Location: Chorley - Hybrid

Hours of Work: 37.5

Position Type: Full-Time

Summary

We are an innovative and market-leading software & services company based in Chorley serving clients in the utility sector ranging from new entrants to large existing suppliers. We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services in a Private Cloud infrastructure, servicing both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients.

We operate a Hybrid working policy so you will be able to flex between working in the office and your home location to carry out this role, however during your initial training period the need to be in the office with other team members will be essential. Our UK office is based in Chorley, which is where you will be based.

While this position is full-time, we are open to discussing flexible working patterns that accommodate individual needs. If you require flexibility in your work schedule, please let us know during the application process, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Core Responsibilities

People Policy & Procedures:

  • Developing, implementing, and updating policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring policies comply with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Communicating policies and procedures to employees.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Assisting managers with recruitment processes, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews for entry level positions.
  • Supporting recruitment and selection processes.

Performance Management

  • Supporting managers with performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Providing guidance on performance improvement plans.

Employee Relations

  • Addressing employee queries and concerns.
  • Investigating and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Providing guidance to managers on employee performance management and disciplinary matters.

Data Management

  • HRIS & ATS Management
  • Monitoring metrics and reports to decide on appropriate action to take

Training & Development

  • Identifying training needs and developing & delivering training programmes.
  • Supporting managers with employee development plans.

Other

  • Advising on company benefits packages.
  • Supporting People & Culture strategy initiatives.
  • Acting as a point of contact for related enquiries.

About You

  • Minimum Level 3 CIPD or equivalent related degree.
  • HR/People experience working at this level

  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
