The Role

As a People Advisor, you'll play a key role in shaping a great employee experience for MVFers at different stages of the employee lifecycle. Armed with strong employment law knowledge, business acumen, and interpersonal skills, you will be a trusted advisor to your client groups.

Responsibilities

People Advisory

  • Mentor and guide the People Coordinator, with the opportunity to line manage them, and ensure KPIs and SLAs are met.
  • Act autonomously as a trusted advisor to designated client groups within MVF, drawing on support and guidance from your People Partner when needed.
  • Work closely with your People Partner to ensure joined-up, consistent support for shared client groups, and support them on strategic and wider organisational design and development projects.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to maintain excellent operational rhythms.
  • Support the delivery of DE&I and wellbeing initiatives across client groups.
  • Liaise with and provide people support to colleagues in our US and EMEA locations.

Employee Lifecycle

  • Support onboarding and induction for new starters, ensuring a smooth and positive first experience.
  • Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and leaver administration.

People Relations

  • Advise and coach line managers on probation, performance management, sickness, disciplinary, and grievance processes, advising and coaching line managers throughout.
  • Provide necessary training and feedback to managers on people processes.
  • Support employees through family-friendly processes (e.g. maternity, paternity etc), and help identify opportunities to enhance and evolve these policies and processes over time.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues and offer policy advice to managers and employees.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating people policies to ensure ongoing legal compliance and best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
