People Advisor (Block Staffing)

Location: Fulham, London (SW6 4NF) – Hybrid working (1 day in the office and 1 day at selected sites, as and when required)

Salary: £36,000 – £41,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm

Employment Type: Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced People Advisor (Block Staffing) to join our People Team and provide high-quality HR support across our property portfolio.

Reporting to the People Partner, you will play a key role in supporting managers and site-based staff throughout the employee lifecycle. You will provide practical HR advice, support employee relations matters, oversee onboarding processes, assist with TUPE transfers and help ensure our people practices remain fair, consistent and compliant with UK employment legislation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys partnering with managers, resolving people challenges and making a positive impact within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance issues.
  • Coach and support managers through probation reviews, performance conversations and day-to-day people management matters.
  • Attend formal meetings where required, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with HR processes.
  • Support TUPE processes for block staff transfers, including preparing documentation, coordinating with relevant parties and assisting with consultation meetings.
  • Manage onboarding activities for new block staff, including offers, contracts, compliance checks and HR system setup.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within BambooHR and ensure people data remains up to date.
  • Support payroll reporting by ensuring starters, leavers and employee changes are recorded accurately.
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, policy reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide general HR support and administrative cover during periods of high demand.

About You

You will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a generalist HR or Employee Relations-focused role.
  • Experience providing HR advice and support to managers.
  • A good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using HR systems such as BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or currently working towards it) is desirable.
