People Advisor
We are seeking an experienced People Advisor to join our dynamic and growing organisation. This role plays an important part in supporting the delivery of the Company's people agenda across the UK, helping to ensure compliance with employment legislation, providing day to day People guidance, and contributing to a positive employee experience. The People Advisor will work closely with managers, employees, Business Partner, and Centres of Excellence to provide practical People support across a range of people activities, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, talent processes, and policy application.
As DCS continues its ambitious growth journey, this role will help support our employees and managers by ensuring people processes are delivered consistently, professionally, and in line with our values. The DCS People Team is dynamic, collaborative, and internationally based, bringing together innovative and solution-focused professionals who continuously seek ways to improve how we support our people.
Key Responsibilities
People Support and Partnership
- Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to managers and employees across the UK.
- Support Business Partner in the delivery of workforce planning, talent initiatives, and organisational change activities.
- Assist with the implementation of global and regional People programmes within the UK.
- Help ensure local HR practices are aligned with company policies and ways of working.
Employee Relations, Compliance and Policies
- Support employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance, and conduct issues, escalating complex cases where appropriate.
- Provide guidance to managers on the application of HR policies and procedures.
- Support investigations and documentation relating to employee relations matters.
- Maintain awareness of UK employment legislation and assist in implementing policy updates and compliance requirements.
- Help foster a positive employee experience by supporting the timely resolution of employee concerns.

HR Governance
- Ensure HR processes and activities comply with company policies and UK employment legislation.
- Support audits, compliance activities, and reporting requirements as required.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and documentation.
Recruitment and Talent Support
- Support recruitment activities, including participation in interviews where appropriate, and onboarding processes.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring activity and workforce needs.
- Assist with talent management, retention, and internal mobility initiatives.
- Support managers in identifying development opportunities for employees.
Performance Management
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance management processes and timelines.
- Support performance review cycles and talent review activities.
- Assist managers in implementing performance improvement plans where appropriate.
Learning and Development
- Partner with managers to identify learning and development needs.
- Coordinate with the Talent Development team to support delivery of development initiatives.
- Promote available learning opportunities and support employee participation.

Compensation and Benefits
- Support compensation and benefits processes in partnership with the Reward team.
- Assist with annual compensation reviews and benefit-related activities.
- Provide information and guidance to employees on available benefits programmes.
HR Reporting and Administration
- Maintain and update HR systems and employee data.
- Produce routine reports and support the collection of people metrics using the HRIS tool and leveraging AI tools to produce intelligent analysis.
- Assist Business Partner with data analysis and reporting activities.
- Support the tracking of key People initiatives and objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, or similar HR role.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting employee relations matters.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Experience working within a multi-site or international organisation would be beneficial.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (desirable)
- Proficiency in HR systems (Workday) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Well-versed on using AI.
