About The Role

The role is responsible for translating the accountabilities of the People & AI Transformation Team into practical, reusable workforce enablement strategies across BT Business. It plays a key role in turning our AI-first ambition into clear workforce plans, capability-building interventions, adoption frameworks, and evidence-based recommendations that HR Business Partners, leaders, and business enablement teams can apply effectively.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, People & AI Transformation, this position sits within the UK Business People Transformation Team, forming part of the wider People & AI Transformation Team. There may be up to two vacancies recruited under this role profile.

This role would suit someone who is commercially minded, analytically strong, and confident operating at the intersection of people, technology, and transformation. The successful candidate will be able to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and drive outcomes through collaboration with existing business owners, rather than taking ownership of workflow redesign or operating model delivery themselves.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with HRBPs, L&D teams, and business leaders to translate AI strategy, workforce plans, and priority use cases into practical workforce actions and transformation roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities for AI to reshape work, roles, skills, capacity, and colleague experience, while challenging legacy activities that no longer support business priorities.
  • Develop frameworks, playbooks, guidance, and tools that enable leaders to redesign work, embed AI, and build sustainable ways of working.
  • Advise on the introduction of digital colleagues and autonomous agents, including workforce integration, operating model design, role clarity, accountability, and value realisation.
  • Act as the people transformation lead for AI initiatives, ensuring workforce implications are understood and reflected in strategic workforce planning.
  • Partner with Group Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and cross-functional teams to shape, translate, and implement enterprise-wide AI transformation priorities across the Business.
  • Drive AI fluency at scale through leadership engagement, manager toolkits, adoption campaigns, communities of practice, bootcamps, and capability-building programmes.
  • Use workforce, skills, adoption, and use-case data to identify capability gaps, redeployment opportunities, role evolution requirements, and areas where capacity can be released.
  • Support AI Accelerator, bootcamp, and community initiatives by translating business use cases into capability pathways, learning solutions, and adoption interventions.
  • Develop and embed people-focused operating model artefacts, governance processes, and guardrails that enable effective collaboration between humans and AI.
  • Create leadership-ready insights, dashboards, and narratives that demonstrate adoption, value realisation, risks, workforce impacts, and investment outcomes.
  • Capture, curate, and scale best practice, lessons learned, and high-value use cases to accelerate AI transformation and drive continuous improvement across the Business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
