Job Profile Summary
As a People Analytics & AI Transformation Analyst your role will be to support the development of Man Group's People analytics and reporting capability, with a focus on learning how to apply AI and data tools to generate meaningful insight. Working under the guidance of the Head of People Operations & Systems, this role will help build and maintain People reporting and dashboards, while developing the technical and analytical skills to grow into a valued contributor to the People function's data, AI, and transformation agenda.
The successful candidate should have a genuine curiosity for data, AI, and process improvement, applying a proactive approach and a drive to continuously learn, develop, and build technical capability.
This is an initial 6-month FTC.
Responsibilities
Analytics & Reporting Support
- Support the build and maintenance of the firm's People reporting suite, learning how to keep outputs accurate, relevant, and fit for purpose
- Assist in producing People reports and dashboards, developing the skills to tailor outputs to different audiences under guidance
- Help produce regular Management Information (MI) for the People team
- Support the creation of clear, engaging visual data aids to help explain data trends
- Respond to routine People data queries, escalating more complex requests as needed
- Assist with drafting REP and DDQ response content, using AI-assisted tools where appropriate

Developing AI & Analytics Skills
- Learn and apply AI and data tools to People data tasks, building capability over time
- Support the exploration and prototyping of new ways to use AI to improve People reporting and analytics
- Develop knowledge of People analytics techniques, data sources, and emerging AI tools
- Bring fresh ideas and a curious mindset, proactively suggesting improvements to existing ways of working
Supporting Transformation
- Support transformation initiatives across People Operations by helping to identify opportunities to improve processes through AI and automation
- Assist with testing and piloting new tools, dashboards, and automated solutions under guidance
- Help gather and track simple measures of improvement (e.g. time saved, errors reduced) to show the value of new ways of working
- Contribute fresh ideas and a continuous improvement mindset, learning how analytics and AI can transform the way the People team works
Building Technical Capability
- Develop skills in Power BI, including report building and data modelling, with support and training
- Build strong Excel skills, including formulas and data manipulation
- Learn how People data flows through systems (e.g. ) and how it is used for reporting
- Work closely with the Head of People Operations & Systems and the wider People team, learning how analytics supports strategic priorities
- Support data literacy initiatives across the People team
- Contribute to data quality by flagging issues that could affect reporting accuracy
- Participate in People Working Groups with Technology, gaining exposure to process improvement discussions
- Actively seek feedback and development opportunities to build skills and knowledge
Key Skills & Experience
- Demonstrates working knowledge of AI capabilities and limitations; critically evaluates AI-generated outputs, applies human judgment appropriately, and adheres to AI governance and policies
- A strong academic record, ideally in a numerate, analytical, or data-related discipline
- The right attitude: curious, proactive, and genuinely enthusiastic about data, AI, and continuous learning
- Strong aptitude to learn quickly and apply new skills and tools in a practical setting
- Foundational skills in Excel and a willingness to develop advanced capability
- Some exposure to or interest in data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) — training and support will be provided
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI tools and an interest in exploring their practical application
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive data with discretion
- A collaborative team player who takes initiative and responds well to feedback

- Any practical or academic experience with data analysis, coding (e.g. Python, R, or SQL), or AI tools
- Awareness of data protection principles (e.g. GDPR)
- Interest in the People/HR domain and how data can improve the employee experience
